Non-Negligent cover refers to liability that is without fault. In other words accidental injury to an animal in your care.
Pet Business Insurance covers you for up to £20,000 for any one accident, or series of accidents, arising out of one original cause.
This type of insurance brings comfort to policy holders as more often than not any non-negligent harm arises where an animal in your care has been accidentally harmed in the course of service delivery, through no specific fault of your own or your business.
Note – This is different to Negligence or Negligent Harm which is “Any action or process that is seen to have caused harm as a result of lack of due diligence, lack of care, omission of duty or an act of carelessness towards a client or an animal in your care.”
Unfortunately non-negligent cover is not currently available for work with horses or farm animals.
